MICRO 2026 International Conference

6th International Conference MICRO 2026 · Plastic pollution from macro to nano

Main stage of the MICRO 2026 International Conference in Cádiz

We had the pleasure of attending the 6th Edition of the International Conference MICRO 2026 in Cádiz! It was a great source of inspiration, highlighting the importance of further research into the environmental fate of plastic pollution and its impacts on human health.

We are proud to have contributed our own pieces to this big scientific and societal challenge through one oral presentation about the natural weathering of plastic items in coastal environments, and a poster exploring how exposure route to polystyrene nanoplastics shapes lysosomal and proteolytic responses in zebrafish embryo development.

A big thank you to the organisers and everyone who made this conference such a great opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and bring this community working towards plastic issues mitigation.
